On behalf of everyone involved at Nelson’s Journey I would like to thank the members of The People Kit for holding The Great British Food Quiz; raising much-needed funds to support the running of our family bereavement programme and help towards the costs of positive activities throughout 2020.
The support for the Great British Food Quiz was amazing and to see 140 guests attend and fill the room at The Assembly House Norwich in support of Nelson’s Journey was heart-warming. Our dedicated team of youth and adult volunteers who came along to help support the event had a great time selling raffle tickets, interacting with the guests and talking about what we do and the support we provide children and young people who have experienced a significant bereavement.
We would also like to thank The Assembly House who hosted the evening with a special thanks going to Richard Hughes who was quizmaster for the evening. There were some great auction and raffle prizes that had been donated by local businesses and supporters of Nelson’s Journey to which we are so thankful.
We are thrilled The People Kit chose to support Nelsons Journey with their fundraising in 2019, the evening raised over £5000 to help create a positive difference to the lives of bereaved children and young people locally.
